“What A Life” is out now on Copenhagen Records

Danish act Scarlet Pleasure have shared their latest single, “What A Life” and it’s a must-hear electro-pop tune about a generation high on life and maybe a few other things. The playful production is inspired by the Italian folk song, ‘Bella Ciao’, an anti-fascist resistance song during World War 2, and lyrically portrays an individual or generation in search of a euphoric and beautiful life. Stream the track below and prepare to have this earworm stuck in your head.

‘What A Life’ marks the beginning of an exciting new era for Scarlet Pleasure. The Copenhagen three-piece, consisting of lead vocalist Emil Goll, bassist Alexander Malone, and drummer Joachim Dencker, make songs that melt somewhere between 90s R&B and pure electro bops and have found exceeding success in Denmark, Europe, and beyond — with the band winning the 2018 MTV EMA’s Best Danish Act, the 2017 Danish Music Awards for Best Band, Hit of the Year for “Deja vu,” and Best Album for Limbo. In case you missed it, stream their award-winning EP below.
